New Years Catchers Development Baseball Program

Prepare for the upcoming season and head into tryouts ready to compete! Our New Years Catching Development Program combines expert coaching and advanced training techniques to improve pop times, sharpen blocking skills, and refine receiving mechanics. Build consistency, develop confidence behind the plate, and strengthen the skills needed to make an impact when the season begins.

Each player will receive an individualized progress report highlighting key metrics, such as throwing velocity and time to release, along with feedback on their current strengths and the specific areas they will focus on throughout the program. Each Player will receive a report following weeks 1 , 5 & 10.

Additional Information

    • Improved blocking technique and consistency

    • Improved catch-and-throw ability for quicker, more accurate releases

    • Enhanced receiving skills, including framing and presentation

    • Better game calling, pitch selection, and overall game management

  • Sundays | 7 Sessions:

    • 11U: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

    • 14U (HP): 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

    Dates: Jan. 10, 17, 24, 31, Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28, Mar. 7, 14

  • All players must wear appropriate athletic shoes and attire, such as shorts or baseball pants. Additionally, each player is required to bring their own water bottle and individual catcher’s gear.

  • Each report is designed to give players and parents a clear picture of development throughout the program. Rather than simply recording numbers, our coaches use each assessment to identify strengths, establish areas of focus, and measure how those areas improve over time.

    Week 1 — Establish a Baseline
    Record initial metrics, identify strengths, and establish individual development priorities.

    Week 5 — Measure Progress
    Retest key metrics, evaluate progress in focus areas, and make adjustments for the second half of the program.

    Week 10 — Evaluate & Move Forward
    Complete a final assessment, highlight improvements, and provide clear areas for continued development beyond the program.
